Marc D. Goldberg, JD, CBM, SPHR, President & Consulting Principal of SuMa Partners, Ltd., has over 25 years of corporate experience in human resources and labor relations. His experience includes 10 years at the senior management and executive levels of General Electric, Contel Corporation, Executone, Inc. and Mobile Telecommunication Technologies (Mtel), as well as corporate positions in large and small manufacturing, sales, service, distribution, R&D and engineering organizations. Marc was a member of the board of directors and chairman of the compensation committee of a publicly-traded, international, consumer electronics and music company. He serves as a financial services arbitrator with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is committed to improving accountability in the nonprofit sector as an Executive Volunteer/ Advisor with Nonprofits First of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Marc is focused on helping his clients achieve their business goals by assessing and resolving their workforce challenges. For over 18 years, his primary mission has been to maximize management credibility and organizational efficiency by designing and implementing enhanced employee communication and practices. Marc leads or provides support for significant change including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, relocation, union organizing, union contract negotiations, growth and downsizing. SuMa Partners’ two proprietary services are most effective: “Hiring for Attitude” integrates with the current employee selection tools to help determine whether a candidate will be a fit in a specific work environment, based on their attitudes about the workplace and workplace processes. “Reality Audits” helps employers learn how policies and practices are communicated and actually implemented, and how employees, supervisors and managers react and are affected.
Previous and current client experience includes a telecommunication service provider, a multi-state heavy equipment distributor, a start-up aircraft manufacturer, a cargo airline, an international apparel manufacturer and distributor, an international death services provider, a hospital, seven major public utilities and other service and manufacturing companies.
Marc earned a JD from Boston University, is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) and is certified as a Business Manager (CBM). Marc does not practice law.
